In these days, people are crazy about weight loss and diet plans. Most of the time, weight loss will be a temporary thing and the lost weight starts coming up once the diet is stopped. Many famous diets are not successful on a long-term basis. Because they didn’t conduct a proper and in-depth study on how a permanent weight loss can be achieved. On the other side researches have shown that many improper methods can contribute for increase in problems with permanent weight loss. The main strategies for a successful weight loss are included below:
1) Exercise is the best and healthy method for weight loss. This will not only reduce the weight but also maintain it for a longer period. An exercise on a daily basis is not required. But one should ensure to do at least five, 30 minutes session in a week. One can also go for a 10 minute session daily. You can opt for a walk, jog, aerobics or a workout in the gym.
2) Maintain a food diary which describes the menu for each day. Make a record of what you ate for the day, how much you could resist the cravings for unhealthy food etc. Study your eating pattern reading through the diary and you will be able to make significant changes in order to make a healthy food plan.
3) Make serious effort to stay healthy. The aim should not be just reducing the weight. The food selection should be in a healthy way.
4) Keep a track of what you eat more. Some people tend to eat unhealthy food because of stress, depression, loneliness etc. One should learn to deal with the mental emotions without eating more food. This will help in controlling the weight loss on a longer term.
5) Joining a weight control and management group will help you in following a healthy diet. They help in monitoring the weight loss. They can provide you with all support you need in achieving the goal.
6) Eating slowly can lead to significant weight loss.
7) Never do a crash diet. It will bring back the weight you have lost once you come back to the normal diet.
