The Mediterranean diet usually delivers the 40% of the calorie that is the daily total from fat. So this causes the cardiovascular diseases to decrease significantly. Olive oils are mono saturated fatty acids. So, it may not have the problem of raising cholesterol that may usually forms due to the saturated fats.

Eating fish is an important, as many of the fishes may contain the omega 3 fatty acids that are very good for the health. This diet is preferred by both the non vegetarians and vegetarians. The health professionals usually say that the Mediterranean diet is much healthier than any other American or north European diet because of the usage of the foods that are nutritional and healthier for the body.
