Diet Plans and Weight Loss Programs
Just like most of us here I too have made a commitment to lose weight this year and improve my overall health. This is actually a pretty tall order since I lead a sedentary lifestyle wherein my job requires me to sit at a computer 10-12 hours per day and am addicted to junk food. But I feel I have to start making positive changes before I develop any serious medical problems. ANd the time is now! In addition to walking an hour a day and hitting the gym three times a week, I’m putting together some healthy diet plans to help me melt away the extra pounds that i have put on.
I’ve tried many fad diets in my life, but I always end up falling off the wagon after a week or so. The biggest reason for my past failures is the diets didn’t allow me to have any of my favorite foods at all. I ended up feeling completely deprived after a couple of days, and would then turn around and binge on potato chips, cakes, french fries, and whatever else I wasn’t allowed to eat. After the binge, all bets were off and I was back to my regular eating habits. So this time around, I want to find healthy diet plans that at least allow me a little leeway in this regard.
I’ve discovered numerous samples of healthy diet plans online, though I wouldn’t call any of them absolutely perfect for my needs. One option here is to pick and choose specific meals from each plan and then cobble them together into something I can live with. My goal is to have a month’s worth of unique breakfasts, lunches, and dinners which are not only fitting my diet plan but are also healthya dn easy to cook. This variety will hopefully make it easier for me to stick with the healthy diet plans rather than getting the urge to chuck everything after a week or two.
An alternative to using the free healthy diet plans I’m finding online is to consult a professional nutritionist and create a completely personalized meal plan tailored to my likes and dislikes. While this course of action would obviously cost some money, it could turn out to be a better move in the long run. For one thing, I wouldn’t have to wonder if I’m making proper food substitutions or if I’m getting the right amount of vitamins and nutrients on a daily basis. The nutritionist could make sure those things happen and work for me in a good way. For another, I think I’d be more likely to stick to one of these healthy diet plans if I’m paying for it than if I just got it off the Internet for free, so that’s something else I have to take into consideration.
Whether I get my healthy diet plans from a nutritionist or from the Internet, I need to start on a weight loss program soon. I’m looking forward to becoming slimmer and healthier in the very near future, hope you too find something suiting your need and allow you also to lose the extra weight!
